Regina, who is a well-regarded alumna of the Oliver Scholars Program, was invited to speak on the importance of scholarships to the Program’s highest donors. She shared her own personal story, including detailed insights into the way the Oliver Scholar Program changed her life and those of many of her peers. The Oliver Scholars Program was created in 1985 to help prepare high-achieving Black and Latino students for success at top independent high schools and prestigious colleges. By receiving crucial support at an early age, the scholars are then able to realize their full potential and ultimately give back to the city, the nation, and the world.
